Dr. Yuan is the Cyrus Tang Professor in the Department of Anesthesia & Critical Care at the University of Chicago. He is a recognized expert in herbal medicine, and is actively researching the benefits and adverse effects of commonly used herbal medicines. Dr. Yuan has published numerous scientific articles, including more than 100 papers on herbal research. In addition, he is the primary Editor of the Textbook of Complementary and Alternative Medicine (1st & 2nd editions) and he serves the Editor-in-Chief of The American Journal of Chinese Medicine.
YuanYuan Shi, Ph.D.

Dr. Shi is the Professor in School of Life Sciences at Beijing University of Chinese Medicine. His main research is the evaluation of biological effects of traditional Chinese medicine. Currently his team uses modern life science technologies, such as genomics, transcriptomics, proteomics and metabolomics to digitize the clinical practice and accurately evaluate the biological effects of traditional Chinese medicine, with the focus on neurodegenerative diseases, organ fibrosis, acute lung injury, tumors, immune diseases, etc.
Bafang Li, Ph.D.

Dr. Li is the Professor in Food Science and Engineering College at Ocean University of China. His research focus on marine bioactive substances, functional foods and products. He has completed many research projects and published numerous scientific research papers and 3 books.
Yuxi Wei, Ph.D.
Professor of Chemistry

Dr. Wei is the Professor in College of Life Sciences at Qingdao University. He has been engaged in the research on high-value utilization of marine biological resources, research and development of marine bioactive substances and functional foods, and natural product isolation, purification and structural elucidation. Now he is a reviewer for National Science and Technology Award, National Natural Science Foundation of China, National Postdoctoral Fund, Shandong Provincial Science and Technology Research Program.
